Dr. Minh is passionate about transforming lives through orthodontics. With a dedication to excellence, he's known for his outstanding academic achievements and role as a Chief Orthodontic Resident at West Virginia University. He brings this commitment to quality care to every patient interaction.

Dr. Spingher

Dr. Tamana Spingher is an orthodontist who cares for every patient like family. Raised in Northern Virginia, she brings a warm, calming presence that parents and kids instantly feel comfortable with. Before becoming a doctor, she worked in almost every role in a dental office starting in 2012, giving her a deep understanding of what families need to feel supported at every step.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, earned her dental degree from Howard University, and went on to complete her orthodontic training at West Virginia University. This blend of experience and education allows her to deliver care that is both clinically excellent and genuinely compassionate.

Today, as a proud practice owner, Dr. Spingher is dedicated to creating an elevated orthodontic experience, one where parents feel confident, kids feel at ease, and every smile receives thoughtful, personalized attention.

Clinical Philosophy

Dr. Minh’s and Dr. Spingher's clinical philosophy is built on the belief that a truly remarkable smile is both scientifically precise and artistically crafted. Guided by Dr. Larry Andrews’ Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony, he focuses on creating smiles that look balanced and natural on each person, not just making teeth straight. Every treatment is designed with attention to form and function, facial balance, ideal upper tooth position, and how the smile naturally shows in everyday life.

Even though Dr. Minh and Dr. Spingher acquired their orthodontic knowledge from the same school of West Virginia University, they wanted to increase the level of service at Excelsior. The doctors decided to incorporate the modern Pitts21 system, created by Dr. Tom Pitts, which uses light, gentle forces to move teeth comfortably and predictably. This approach supports not only healthy tooth movement but also the aesthetic details that make a smile truly stand out such as a natural smile arc, fuller smile width, and confident smile display. Patients often see a more beautiful and expressive smile early in their treatment, which builds confidence from the very beginning.
